Mountain Home Technology (MHT) is a home integration company located in Big Sky, Montana. Mark Tedsen and Donald Walterman founded it with the goal of bringing innovative computer technology together with conventional wiring in homes and small commercial businesses. This is generally considered ‘ smarthome’ technology, where communication (phone and LAN), audio/video, security, environmental and lighting may be controlled utilizing computer technology.

Mountain Home Technology is committed to providing quality services at a fair price bringing technological solutions to homeowners and small business owners. The mantra of Mountain Home Technology is to 1) make the technology simple to use for the homeowner, 2) provide long-term reliability, 3) design systems that have the capability to be easily modified, and 4) make sure the infrastructure provides for future expansion. The founders of Mountain Home Technology are committed to finding the best solution for our clients using an open architecture philosophy in regards to both hardware and software.

The co-founders of Mountain Home Technology bring extensive experience in the disciplines required to make smarthome technology successful.

Don Walterman has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Electronic Communications Engineering Technology and Computer Engineering Technology. Don has over 21 years of computer and networking service experience with Hewlett Packard, Agilent Industries, and Pinnacle Systems that includes hardware, software and networking installation and support along with ongoing training throughout his career. Don also has over 5 years experience in commercial ‘on demand’ video. In addition, Don has experience in personal computers and their operating systems, large WANs and LANs as well as considerable customer satisfaction experience.

Mark Tedsen has an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Electricity and Electronics and has been a Master Electrician since 1984. Mark has over 20 years experience in the electrical trades that includes custom home residential wiring, commercial and industrial wiring, controls, engineering, testing and maintenance. In addition, Mark has extensive experience in small businesses and management of small to medium sized work groups. He has also implemented small business networks utilizing the Microsoft NT operating system as well as home networks utilizing the Windows operating system. Mark is a Master Electrician with an unlimited license in the State of Montana .

Mountain Home Technology offers Consultation, Design, Installation, Setup and Service to clients that wish to add connectivity, computer solutions, and innovative technology to their homes or small businesses. Mountain Home Technology in conjunction with Mountain Home Electric is an unrestricted State of Montana Electrical Contractor.
