Phone
 One of the phone systems that MHT recommends is a small multi line PBX system that utilizes regular phones. The system provides voice mail; direct fax capabilities; an auto attendant option, which is very useful for a home based business; and it also functions as an intercom within the house and at the entry doors. It also can also be expanded to utilize additional phone lines.
Networking
In today's homes, not only is it likely there will be at least one computer, but the number of homes having high speed internet connections is increasing rapidly. In new construction, most rooms should have at least one computer jack that feeds directly back to the main wiring hub making it easy to set up a home computer network. A computer network allows multiple computers to share files, peripherals and the internet connection. Don't forget games over the home network.
